Mitos Technologies
Mitos Technologies has produced many superior fluid flow
through valves and unique items for the Pharmaceutical/Biotech,
Food and Beverage, and related industries. This includes
a free flow valve™ also known as a sanitary pinch
valve which is ideal for situations involving high purity
flow and dispensing applications. They supply Sta-PureÒ
tubing and hose assemblies for high durability and very
clean and/or very high temperature applications for use
with Peristaltic pumps.
Mitos has a wide variety of silicone tubing, reinforced
silicone tubing and wire reinforced silicone tubing. They
also provide a high purity bag system called Dura-Pure™ Bags,
for high purity fluid and blood collection. Additionally,
they have the i-Logic™
Gasket system which has a 4 color rotation of sanitary
tri-clamp gasket which show the material lot number on
the side. This system has a special clamp available which
allows for viewing the gasket through a slot on the side
of the clamp.
In addition to the gasket slot, this clamp can be supplied
with a 30 inch i-torque which maintains the ideal pressure
when installing the clamps. Lastly, they manufacture a
316L sanitary stainless steel end cap (i-cap) with a raised
handle machined onto the back. This allows for easy removal
of the end cap without prying between the cap and pipe
flange.
Best known of the Mitos Technologies products is the Free
Flow™ Valve. It is manufactured with a 316L Stainless
Steel or Titanium body and is available with a pneumatic
actuator. This fluid flow through valve can be used as
a filling machine valve, a pharmaceutical valve, biopharm
valve, or for other applications where uninterrupted flow,
clean, cleanliness, high purity, chemical resistance, or
high temperature tolerance is important. The valve has
a flexible interior core (called an element) which is a
composite material made of silicone and PTFE. It operates
by "pinching down" on this core, thus closing
off the liquid flow precisely. The standard valve fittings
are Sanitary tri-clamp with built in silicone gaskets (in
sizes 1/2" mini, 3/4"
mini and 1").
